A musical family portrait. Age and musical genres are secondary for the musicians of the film, who live off (and for) playing on the streets and boulevards of Europe. The music is a life style that’s been handed down to them over generations. They are performers by nature and for once the cliche of the rolling stone fits their nomadic life style - from Milan via Nice and Paris to Copenhagen. It’s all about freedom and you can hear it from the first to the last verse. BUSKER has the feel of a beat novel and the looks of a genuinely independent documentary, visually altering between tableau style interviews and atmospheric scenes from the street. |
