Mac returns to a familiar town on New Year’s Eve. He never wanted to see this place again, but as Mac has learned in life he doesn’t get to make all his own decisions. Armed with a brief case, looking to find Scarlet, his missing ex-girlfriend, Mac wants to clean his slate before the clock strikes 12 and leave this town as quickly as he arrived. He goes to the old boozer, knowing his presence will raise eyebrows and flush out the one person who he knows can help him find Scarlet. Her father, his old boss Needle. And to add to his night, Mac owes Needle money. A lot of money. Given his lack of choice and his desire to make it through to see the New Year alive, Mac attempts honesty for once in his life. But while he may have changed, others have not. Needle arrives at the pub with his minder to hear what Mac has to say, and ultimately decide whether Mac gets to see, let alone celebrate the New Year.
