The sign on private detective Myron Lord’s door says he does the “Lord’s Work,” but he’s the guy people visiting the Carolina coast come to see when they need to find their special someone who’s been having too much fun in the sun. Myron knows all the dark secrets along the shores and just where to turn to when clients come calling. When an old friend, Cynthia, comes to visit Myron’s wife, Deloris, and tells a tale of woe, Deloris asks Myron to get involved. Deloris knows that with a sway of her hips and a sinful whisper in his ear, she can convince Myron to do almost anything, even to take this case that he wants nothing to do with. Reluctantly, Myron agrees, and as a hurricane bears down on the coastal town, Cynthia leads Myron into a storm of another sort. |
