The Pendulum is a short drama about a woman psychiatrist who cures her patients while hypnotizing them by feeding their minds with false memories. Her way of treatment faces disapproval by the manager of the clinic who threatens to fire her unless she starts practicing the conventional treatments of prescribing pills. She faces another obstacle when she receives a phone call about her debt of 150 000 dollars to UCSD. Infuriated, she decides to become a VIP escort and make money quickly. However, she does not have sex with her clients, but hypnotizes them into thinking that they had sex with her. She manages to keep doing what she loves most, hypnosis, and makes a lot more money. At the beach, while celebrating her accomplishment, she calls the hospital manager to inform him that she quits her job.
