Daniel is a successful businessman, living life to the full. After years of separation, he meets Thea in a passionate reunion. Driven through the dark streets of Copenhagen by the private chauffeur, they relive their common past, funny experiences, the passion of youth and comic events. Along the way, their hopes for the future are unveiled and Daniel, feeling smothered by Thea, flees into the night and buries himself in the nightlife. Greedily, he consumes everything around him: money, women, champagne, and the feelings of others. Eventually, his escapades exceeds all limits. The car and the silently observing driver becomes the sole stable element with a touch of warmth in the night. |
