Now. I admire Orson Welles as a director and actor, before the 50s. The man let himself go physically, and you can tell that he’s drunk on screen. He’s sweating profusely, and talks very slowly. So I cringe when I see see him, post 50s. And that didn’t change with this movie. His performance was forgettable, but the rest of the cast did a good job. Especially Bradford Dillman and Dean Stockwell. I read and watched documentaries about this case. Quite sad indeed, for the victim and his family. OK for a one-time watch.
