Autopsy is a TV drama set in present-day Slovak countryside revealing the complex relationships between a grandfather, his daughter-in-law and his grandson. While an ambulance is rushing to the village to save a heart-attack victim, the author examines the dismal emotional and financial state of people forced to eke out a miserable existence and share one roof despite feeling a strong sense of injustice, hate and contempt. The movie uses a threefold narrative structure, unfolding from thee different perspectives, which enables the viewer to better understand the protagonists’ motivations and sentiments. Autopsy manages to grasp the complexity of a human soul and show how diverse our viewpoints on the world we all live in can be. |
