A schizophrenic writer, Dane, wakes up from an ambiguous dream as alter ego Mr. Duke, the alter ego of the late Hunter S. Thompson. Like Hunter, he engulfs himself with ether to elude an impending conflict he is expecting from his wife. When she arrives he snaps back into the same ambiguous dream. He awakes to find himself in the exact same time and place as before. A curse that keeps happening over and over again, each time getting him a little closer to the reality of the truth. The truth that becomes a staggering revelation. |
