Somewhere in suburban America, Jerry is plotting his way to the top of the office golf league. Unfortunately for Jerry, his boss thinks he’s inept, his wife thinks he’s a loser and his kids don’t know he exists. But a busy day at work gives him a chance to fulfil his dream of becoming a killer businessman… Drone stars Canadian theatre legend Bruce Dow (The Tempest with Christopher Plummer, The Mercer Report, Cabaret) as Jerry, a guy who puts the ‘ape’ in apathy. Jerry is detested by his macho boss, played by cult action star Landy Cannon (American Psycho, Catwoman, Dark Rising), and constantly overlooked in favour of his office nemesis, Malcolm, played by Dora Award nominated actor and playwright Andrew Moodie. Jerry’s desire to impress the powerful ‘consultant’ - Sarah Mennell (Munich, How to Lose Friends and Alienate People) - is finally given an outlet when it becomes clear he’s the last man standing in the war on inefficiency. Halfway across the world, Jerry’s ambitions wreak havoc on an innocent family played by Shawn Ahmed (Flight 93), Aviva Armour-Ostroff, Maev Beaty and introducing Shaukat Ansari and Imad Ansari. |
