1968/1976/2005/2007 “More or Less Related Incidents in Recent History” 37:50 min. Started as film in 1968 about the painting of a boutique in Greenwich Village & the scene that evolved around it. It contrasts the news of the Viet Nam war with the 60s fashion scene. A free, but bad transfer from film to video in 1975 destined the work to the closet until P.Weibel/ZKM Karlsruhe supported transfer to Digital Betacam at Das Werk, München in 2003. I filmed the rock’n roll sequences in 1967- 68 with reversal Ektachrome at 1600 ASA & passed them through an analog video echo in 1975. I finally videoed the original site in 2004 & finished editing the work in January 2005. Additional scenes were added and the sound totally reworked in 2007. |
