Bertil Arkrans is a well known and established Swedish visual artist. The filmmaker Peggy Eklof whos has produced portraits of artists for exhibitions at Tomelilla Art Center since 2009, followed Bertil Arkrans in his work with a new sculpture, Cosmic Journey, during the summer of 2011. It turned into a fairy tale like documentary where other works of art by Arkrans are taking part. In the film we see how the new work of art is being sculpted, chiselled and painted from a fairy tale like inner world, in harmony with Bertil Arkrans’ paintings, sculptures, poetry and music by the organist Villemo Carlson Arkrans. She plays it in Tryde Church outside Tomelilla, where even Cosmic Journey now has found a home. |
