Details:

The main character, Matthew, is a non-verbal adult with Autism. As he sits on a park bench, we hear his thought voice, get into his head, feel his emotions and discover his deepest thoughts. This unique perspective allows the audience to see that Matthew has a lot to say, and he is more like us than he is different. Meanwhile, in a classroom, students examine a poem, looking behind the words to discover the meaning. After much discussion, the teacher reveals that the poet is an intelligent young man, who cannot be ignored, who must not be overlooked, misunderstood, or underestimated. The poet is his son, Matthew, and he has Autism.
