An unnamed man is thrust into solitary confinement against his will. In his cell are nothing but the bare essentials needed to survive: a bed, a toilet, cutlery for food. After attempts to reconnect with the outside world prove frivilous, and all hope seems lost, a book appears on the floor of the prisoner’s cell: The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. The prisoner becomes obsessed with the book, and eventually becomes convinced that it holds the key to him rejoining the outside world. |
