Alfie and Marie are meeting for the first time in a fancy London restaurant, a small place not far from glorious river Thames. While all seems well, Alfie can’t shake the niggling frustration a seemingly incompetent waiter gives him. The waiter neglects Marie all evening, leading to a heated confrontation which sees the two men clash at loggerheads. Unable to listen to any more fighting, Marie drops the mother of all bombshells… she’s dead. Alfie questions both his sanity and her existence before soon realising that she may be the key to a true happy ever after. Away from all the money-grabbers and the insincerity, if love is all he needs, he may just have to make the most ultimate of sacrifices.
