Azadeh, a twenty-four year old Middle Eastern woman, has been falsely charged and subsequently convicted of adultery. Under a fundamentalist government where she is not allowed to argue her innocence, she finds herself sentenced to a horrible death by stoning. Based on current events and inspired by a true story, this film illustrates what those of us who enjoy freedom can personally do to make a real difference in the lives of women around the world who cannot speak for themselves. |
