Provoked by renowned choreographer Tere O’Connor, Headlong Dance Theater uproots their 15-year collaboration to create More, their most personal work-to-date. No One Else Could Love You More is an observational film that documents Headlong’s year-long process from their first rehearsals through More’s premiere at Philadelphia’s 2008 Live Arts Festival. In the midst of a severe budget crisis David, Amy and Andrew must figure out a way to collaborate that leaves each of them satisfied. The dancers struggle with More’s isolating movement, their desire and need for feedback, and injury. The film chronicles this journey with scenes that develop organically and arcs that reveal the inner lives of its characters. |
