Details:

Scott (Paul Schermerhorn), a 23-year-old, has just returned to his small hometown in order to settle some things before he can think of moving on. He lands a job at a cemetery and mausoleum working with Dwayne (Cairon Overton), a smooth-talking assistant. His boss Francis (Don E. Kirsch) has his own sympathetic reasons for hiring Scott. Scott’s first clients, John and Lisa Beckman (Michael Weiss, Kirsten McCain), can’t agree on a casket choice or much else. Their son, star athlete Charlie, has died in an accident. Their daughter, Nora (Louise Wiest), is especially bitter toward her father for his neglect of the family. Scott is attracted to her, but he’s also haunted by his recent three-month stay at a psychiatric hospital. He’s been raised mostly by his wasted brother Doug (Jeff Schroeder) who introduced him to heroin. Scott also feels a heavy guilt burden because of his involvement in a theft and the effect it’s had upon a friend of his.
