A divorced man, Paul, has to cross the Mexican border, so see his daughter on her birthday. The border patrol agents claim that there is an epidemic outbreak in USA, and he has to go through a horrible disinfection process. When Paul finally crosses the border, he is mentally scared for life after the disinfection process, and the presents for his daughter are ruined. When he finally sees his daughter, he puts on a brave face. For him it was all worth it, just to be able to see his daughter again. This is based on a disinfection process that Mexicans had to go through in the 1920s to cross the American border, even after the epidemic was over. |
