‘Hazardous’ follows Zak, a young Canadian filmmaker of South Asian descent as he sets out to make a film for Father’s Day. In a post-911 security paranoia permeates Toronto and on this day the ordinary becomes extraordinary. As if life imitated art, the development and production of this dramatic short sheds light on some of the most immediate events in Toronto’s public and political spheres around issues of racial profiling and the rule of law. |
