This is the story of ethnic cleansing of the Rohingya people in Burma, where sectarian violence between majority Buddhists and minority Muslims has marred efforts to transition from military dictatorship to democracy. The film mixes news accounts with on-the-spot interviews with victims and with the radical monk Ashin Wirathu, who has been charged with inciting the violence that has led to the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Muslims since 2012. |
