2011: On the eve of the supposed Judgment Day, Tom is instructed to euthanize a dog to spare it from suffering after humans are gone. Tom pays his tithes. He performs the Eucharist daily. He considers himself a decent enough Christian man. Should he end the dog’s life despite not knowing if the end is truly near? Could he live with himself if the dog died and the rapture did not come? |
