To create the strange, imaginary & unplaceable country, and the high-class world of the anti-heroine, the film was shot in a variety of locations: exteriors in the South of France and the Mediterranean islands of Saint Marguerite, Malta & Gozo; and interiors in Brussels, Luxembourg, and Yorkshire.
