Jack Bardell has recently moved to Maryland after living most of his life in Florida. Tagging along with Jack are his two twin sisters and his father, whose recent job relocation inspired the move. Thinking that high school is going to be a walk in the park, Jack realizes he is in for a rude awakening when he starts encountering trouble in the form of unexpected friends, difficult classes, a flawed family, and everything in between. Luckily for him, Jack meets someone that might just help make things a little more bearable, and it happens to be the school janitor. This unlikely figure entrusts Jack with a suspicious pendant of unrealized power. With it, Jack is able to master anything he sets his mind to, but only once in a given day. The pendant could help him handle a start to a new life, or it could lead to him wishing for his old one back.
