Ever looked at the financial system, its nepotistic marriage with right-wing politics and insatiable appetite to create more and more wealth by creating speculative instruments increasingly unrelated to the underlying assets… and thought, ‘Enough!’? What if there was a private equity firm so dastardly, it was the linchpin of the international trade in small firearms AND had the right ear of the prime minister himself? Investors speak its name in hushed breaths - ‘Hades Capital’, then cross themselves, and hope the FCA hasn’t by some chance overheard. Hades is no friend of the regulator. Yet a group of five intrepid protestors decides to take on the evil giants, with an Occupy Movement stunt guaranteed to get them into the headlines … by squatting in a film studio. Problem is, they are too busy playing charades and arguing about the definition of ‘kitsch’ to really make their protest heard. The production company renting the studio, ‘Dream Bigger Pictures’, has enough on its plate already without having to eject bunch of legally savvy squatters. A rebellious technical and artistic team who are about to throw in the trowel if they have to build any more ‘authentic’ mud huts. |
