Tom is a lonely man who longs for human connection and believes he has no place in the world other than the embalming room in which he works. What he learns about the young woman he embalms, Anna, as he prepares for her funeral, meets her family, and discovers the traces of her past that mark her body gives him the strength to push past his fears and rejoin the living. |
