Alan Ritchson does a good job of capturing the persona of Reacher as the author intended with a quick and agile mind coupled with an intimidating stature and brutal yet honorable set of ethics and skills.
I liked the Cruise movies and thought they were well done but he lacked the sheer intimidation factor that a person of Ritchson’s size gives to folks by merely being within their sight and the prejudices that comes with it, wich often play key roles in Child’s books.
It could have been better but translating this character into current pop morays looses some depth.
