In my world, any movie that plays soft jazz during dramatic dialogue tends to become a comedy.

If you take this movie seriously, it’s kind of horrible, but if you see the Robocop cynical humor, it’s kind of hilarious. I had to accept that Bill Paxton and John Hurt were going over the top on purpose.

In short, it’s a little more than a cheezie, body snatching alien entity movie.

Just to prove my point:

Capt. MacCandless:
Get out of my office before I arrest you.

Villano:
You’d need a presidential order to arrest me.

Capt. MacCandless:
I don’t give a damn if you’re personally giving the president head! Get the f* out of my office!

Tucker:
I got 3 rules: One, shit happens; two, shit happens on a regular basis; and three, you better get used to rule one and two.

That’s some good shit!
