I’ve somehow watched all 7 seasons of this show that have aired so far, and it truly runs the gamut from cringy to, well, genuinely good sci-fi.
It starts out as “Dawson’s Creek: The Apocalypse Years”, spends a couple of episodes doing its take on The Walking Dead’s Woodbury storyline, then dives just wholeheartedly into GoT territory for a while. But once the //SPOILERS AHEAD// underground Roman-gladiator cannibal survivalist people resurface and engage in a war with the thawed-out mining prisoner murderer space people and //SUPER SPOILERS AHEAD// blow up the earth again, make friends with each other, then head to another planet, it really starts to come into its own..
If you’ve read all that, you should put up with the cringy bits and watch it.
