Wow dude, you read WAAAY too much into my comment lol. My comment is my own, i never claimed it was “scientifically accurate” either and i am not going to pick apart a decent sci-fi FANTASY flick to its minute details because I actually ENJOY watching this movie…the fire/oxygen was meant as a “glaringly” obvious oversight that almost ANYONE would and should have noticed and then forgot about because it takes nothing from the over all story, i just can’t help think about it every time i watch the movie is all. For future, you do NOT need to pick apart my or anyone elses comment to satisfy your own desire to show me/us how much you love to analyze movies for accuracy both scientific and politically. If you watch all movies like that, you won’t enjoy them as much. It IS FICTION after all, right? I appreciate a bit of realism like everyone else, but i also know how to suspend it when i walk into the Theater. Your list of other 90’s movies is good, i love them all as well only having not seen Fargo, Big Lebowski and American Beauty, i have seen all the rest of course.. Curious though..you mention Groundhog Day..fantastic movie of course, Bill Murray at his best…but where is the scientific acccuracy in that movie? Time Travel? Time LOOP? CRAZY! You would almost have to “suspend your belief” to enjoy that movie huh? See my point? Anyway not trying to argue with man, just trying to say, don’t pick apart other peoples comments to either prove them wrong because their opinion doesn’t match yours, know what i mean? Anyway, cheers mate.

“Curious though..you mention Groundhog Day..fantastic movie of course, Bill Murray at his best…but where is the scientific acccuracy in that movie? Time Travel? Time LOOP? CRAZY! You would almost have to “suspend your belief” to enjoy that movie huh? “ I never said, “This movie is damn near perfect except for ONE small oversight…the fires burning on the Independance shuttle after it landed on the asteroid…no oxygen means no fire…” About Groundhog Day, did I? Hence why I pointed out the massive number of scientific inaccuracies. You lauded this film as only having one tiny oversight but, in fact, it’s got 160+. I agree with everything else you wrote. Sorry if I came off overly combative.
