I think the reason this feels slower to you is that ER would be hours or days/weeks crammed into one 45 minute episode & this portrays a single hour in a shift making it seem slower. A for grit, idk, it feels on par to me. I loved ER, this feels like a more realistic version of it with a little less soap opera drama. I look forward to watching more.
Yes I realize they made time for character development with this show, which is an important part of the process. I feel completely different about this show now. I think it’s even better than E.R. The sadness I feel when the show is over is very overwhelming
