This is an example of stupid people. They can communicate with signs. So, why didn’t they discuss the weird creatures they just shot down around 40 minutes into the movie? They instead go about business like the alien creatures were nothing. I would have left and told my superiors to go screw themselves. Drop nukes into the gorge. Duh.
