That’s been going on for a long time, very normal. Dark Angel, Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica, Parallels, Carrie (2002), Lone Ranger (2003), Nancy Drew (2002), The Return of Jafar, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Wonder Woman (1974), Spider Man (1977), Mask of Zorro (1974)… There are literally hundreds of them going back to the late 60’s. Many of which ended up not getting a series so we just think of them as regular movies now.
