Rod Serling returns to anthology television as the host of Night Gallery, a three-season show where each story revolves around a mysterious and ominous painting hanging in an empty gallery. Mr. Serling provides the opening and closing narration to these stories, typically tales of horror and the supernatural. During the first season, the hour-long series features several shorter stories, some of which are comedic blackout sketches. The show was subsequently cut down to a half-hour, and in syndication was mixed with episodes of the TV series The Sixth Sense.

I’m looking forward to seeing these. I missed many of the episodes. Serling had a gift.

IS THIS SHOW RELLY HAVE MANY EPISODES OR MOVIE DATABASE ERROR

Yes, back then tv shows had a lot of episodes. And we didn’t have new shows to watch in the summer months (what I mean by new is different types of tv shows, we didn’t have hulu, netflix, HBO etc.)we had “reruns” until the new season started in early September and the season would end in late May. So, to pass the time away in those summer months, we went to theaters to watch movies on the big screen or a drive in theater. Oh, those were the days!

And, we only had 3 TV channels: ABC, NBC, and CBS.

That’s right and how spoiled have we become! We now have 24/7 channels unlike in the past when the networks signed off at midnight and all you saw was the test screen!

Most of the shows had 2 or 3 sections to each episode, just like The Twilight Zone in the ‘80s. Each story is listed rather than each epis

When in doubt, look for info on tvmaze dot com, where you’ll see the dates as well as the episodes; it shows, for ex., that the 1st ep aired on 11-8-69, and it had three parts, each of which is listed above as a separate ep.

If you can’t find the info there, check Wikipedia (but it’s a lousy site overall bc there is no editorial oversight, so you should never use it when you need accurate info on anything of importance — use Britannica, for ex., for important stuff).
