I absolutely love this series. I got hooked form episode 1, and never looked back. I highly recommend it.
Season 13 starts January 7, 2024 and some of you may not know that there is an episode 5 in season 12 which airs today, the 26th and there are links.

You’re welcome. I didn’t either and when I watch a new tv show, I always check out the similar titles and just happened to click onto Vera. Was checking to see when the new season was to start and low and behold, another episode before the new season.
Some sad news! Season 14 will be the final season of Vera.
Noooooooooooooooooooooo! I have waited for every season of Vera, champing at the bit for thirteen years. what will I look forward to now? heavy sigh
I hear ya! But there are many other British crime dramas out there.
At least, we still one more season…time enough to brace for impact!
Season 11 is meant to be six episodes, but has been hit by Covid delays and the remain four episodes of the season won’t be airing until 2022. :(
Season 11:
“ITV has confirmed that only two episodes went into production during the autumn winter of 2020, with the first being broadcast over the bank holiday and the second the following weekend.
It means the remaining four feature-length episodes will not air until 2022, as they are currently still in production.
The next episode [episode 2 already linked above] will air on Sunday, September 5 but a date for the remaining four has not yet been confirmed.”
I love this series. Brenda Blethyn is such a great actress BUT I really wish they made it a bit more interesting. Would like to see her come face to face with a serial killer for example.

Sad to hear that Season 14 will be the last season, but she has done her time with this series, and left us with something we will never forget. AND Ann Cleeves is still writing the books, so we don’t have to really miss Vera.
Goodbye Vera. I will miss you terribly!!

I will definitely miss the spunky and empathetic detective.
