This week on True Story with Hamish & Andy is Phil's Story.Phil wasn't a fussy twentysomething back in the 1980s. All he needed was his mates, beer, and a gorgeous sheila hanging off his arm. And he would have had everything he wanted, if it wasn't for a pesky dog.The cast includes Broden Kelly, TJ Power, Christie Whelan Browne, Jess Harris, Troy Kinne, Kevin Hofbauer and Zachary Ruane.It was the height of eighties kitsch cool, and Phil was single and ready to mingle at a subur- ban Brisbane BBQ at Robbo's place. Armed with an esky full of beer, he was met by an array of coleslaw, blue eye shadow and big hair. Keen to win the affection of single girl Shazza, Phil sat down to sink a few tinnies and build some Dutch courage. But fate had other ideas. When a kid playing nearby threw a tennis ball Phil's way, Robbo's dog closely followed. And when the ball hit Phil in the groin, the dog continued unabated. In this moment, Phil's chances with Shazza went south. What ensues involves gaffer tape, good ol' fashioned Aussie ingenuity, a trip to the hospital, and Phil getting to know Robbo's pet dog a little too well.
