In today's politically charged media landscape, no figure looms larger, even after his passing, than Roger Ailes, molding Fox News into a force that irrevocably impacted the highest levels of government. To understand the events that led to the rise of Donald Trump, one must understand Ailes. The Loudest Voice takes on that challenge, focusing primarily on the past decade in which Ailes arguably became the Republican Party's de facto leader, while also touching on defining events in Ailes' life, including an initial meeting with Richard Nixon on the set of The Mike Douglas Show that gave birth to Ailes' political career and also including the sexual harassment accusations and settlements that brought his Fox News reign to an end. Told through multiple points of view, the limited series aims to shed light on the psychology that drives the political process from the top down. |

Before reading the description I thought it was another reality singing show lol, but, Surprise! Instead, …I was always told if I can’t say something good about the dead then don’t say anything at all…well, f*ck that. This guy was one of the most dirtiest lying, manipulative PoS that ever walked the planet…I don’t miss him one bit……On another note…Russell Crowe is amazing as the Ailes character.
Well worth the watch way less about politics and more about the man …2 thumbs up from me !
This series gave me a great insight into the republican point of view and the power that television has in shaping all public opinion.
I hadn’t seen the title of episode 2, so it was shocking to view the images again from the point of view of those who were seen as targets at the time. The fear comes across as palpable along with administration’s need to find a guilty party as quickly as possible.
The danger is when the media, or part of the media becomes part of the propaganda machine and there is no questioning of the evidence nor the motives, as we see in the second episode
Top rate drama and Crowe is nailing this character. Awards beckon.
A very liberal view politically of a very bad man. Would love to see a 7 hour exposé on Bill and Hillary Clinton, but of course that will never happen!
Do you guys literally work for Fox? Just right into the What About-isms. This is a story about a specific person. But yeah, let’s bring up something totally irrelevant. This man was human garbage and I’m glad he’s dead and died the way he did.
Bringing up something irrelevant? Oh you mean like other specific people. The Clinton’s are also human garbage. And if you don’t think so, you might be too.
Great point. Mind you the whole crew would have an unfortunate accident or commit suicide.
Just added to my NEW SERIES playlist and you can watch the trailer HERE
Well It started off well. Acting was good. Then as it got along I noticed more and more of political bias being added to the story. I also saw some exaggerated points bordering on story telling vs facts. I hate seeing good stories getting railroaded to a political agenda. BUT alas.. Is the world we live in now. I just say it how I see it.
Same could be said for literally any show or movie on t.v. based off of a true story. It’s called creative license. But from what I could tell, the meat & potatoes parts of the story were facts or recreated from facts.
