We begin in spring as he sets off across the moor in search of a herd of male red deer. This is when they begin to lose their antlers and Johnny wants to show us what they look like. Then he's off to meet Bob Sampson, an old friend who has had a brilliant idea about how to construct an underground badger house. Johnny and Bob set about converting an unused septic tank and bury it complete with remote cameras on Johnny's land on the edge of Exmoor. He's hoping that for the first time, he will be able to film badgers underground. |
