Mishima, a protege of Det. Soichiro Yagami, Light's father, joins the special team in charge of dealing with protecting Death Note and any deaths related to it. It's been 10 years since Light Yagami a.k.a. Kira died, so things have calmed down, but once a scrap metal worker dies of an apparent heart-attack, Mishima is sent to investigate. Turns out the victim did not die due to Death Note and perpetrator was caught only for actual heart-attack killings to start again, and this time, it was concluded to be by someone who has a Death Note. With Mishima in charge, the team is ready to start hunting the new Kira. |
