This time, the Canarias Noir, a major crime fiction festival, is about to open its doors when a corpse appears on display inside the university that hosts the event. Luis and Naira suspect that it is a ritual crime, typical of a serial killer. However, the turbulent career of the victim, the emerging writer Camila Turino, points in many other directions: a literary critic who abused her; an editor who despised her; a sales competitor who was jealous of her talent; and a father with financial problems who will now inherit the considerable royalties from her work. |
