Together they uncover a chain of shocking events involving the disappearance of children that have gone overlooked for decades, as well as evidence of police corruption. LOVE LOVE LOVE this drama! Wow, so good! Actors are really amazing. Very dark drama, and I’m here for it! 5/5 stars!
I kept thinking I’ve seen Jeanette in something else. Then I realized Eve Myles was in Keeping Faith and in that crime drama she was a blond and her accent was a bit different too. This new series has Dougray Scott and Katherine Hamilton. This one is a bit dark and sometimes I feel a bit lost as it jumps a bit in the timeline. I will stick it out and I know I will be surprised once everything is revealed.
Thanks so much for posting this comment - I totally fell for Even Myles when I saw the first season of Keeping Faith… love it. Unfortunately could only find Welsh language versions of the next seasons.. annoying, but I love her in this series. If you hadn’t made the reference, I wouldn’t have watched this… and it is fantastic!
Very welcome and she was in another crime drama too. I watched here on pw but I can’t find it. I think it might have been in 2023. She wasn’t the lead in it though.
Thanks for the tip - I will check it out.
I found the drama she was in that I couldn’t remember, it was H/Jack with Idris Elba. Very good drama!
We Hunt Together was the other excellent series with co-lead Babou Ceesay! It had 2 seasons from 2020-2022. Babou was also in the series Wolfe & Into the Badlands. Love Eve, and really enjoying this new series!
yes great series - i thought it was coming back for series 3? Eve was terrific in Keeping Faith
I just cannot bring myself to watch anymore ‘police officer joins forces with citizen with unique insight / powers to solve crimes’ shows.
I’m reaching that point too. It’s an endless stream of the same show with different people. It’s gotten monotonous.
It has been confirmed that The Crow Girl will be back for a series 2. At the end of The Crow Girl, as we picked our jaws back up of the ground, the credits read “to be continued”. I wasn’t expecting that ending!
great news! Though I thought the novel it was based off is a “one-off.”
I was and wasn’t surprised for the revealing at the last 10 minutes in ep 6 at the same time. It was used in other movies and series. I was kind of suspecting in the first episode. However, it is a good series. The fallout bw 2 detectives in ep 6 ruined the pace and suspense.
In the opening scene in the first episode, we see someone dressed in a forensic suit, and black latex gloves. We see a close up of the hands and as the person is leaving the hidden room, we see the person from the back. When I saw the hands and the full view of the person, I thought to myself that person is a female. Also, another give away was the way the person walked. But I didn’t know how correct I was until the final episode. I sure hope they will have the 2nd season this fall and not make us wait until January of 2026!
Typical dry boring English show
was it too sophisticated for you? With British shows you really have to pay attention…
Some British shows just suck. Look at what people have rated it so far.
