I think I like this better than NCIS!

It looks like NCIS: Origins will be back for a second season.

Gibbs reminded me more of Jack Reacher than Jethro.

I guess we’ll learn later on why people stopped calling him Leroy. I had to stop and think why are they calling him Leroy instead of Jethro.

I watched NCSI when it first came out but slowly lost interest, this is got me hook, well done show worth a watch, not saying that NCSI was bad just this storyline is just more of my thing.

Here is more information on the spinoff……Robert Taylor is set to play a recurring role in CBS’ new series, NCIS: Origins. Taylor who is best known for playing Sheriff Walt Longmire on the Wyoming crime drama Longmire for six seasons will play Jackson Gibbs, the strict father of Leroy “Jethro” Gibbs in Origins, which is set to premiere during the 2024-25 television season. Mark Harmon played Jethro in the original NCIS series, which featured the late Ralph Waite as Jackson. Austin Stowell is set to play the role of young Jethro in the upcoming NCIS prequel, which takes place in the 1990s. Harmon will narrate the show, which will co-star Kyle Schmid, Mariel Molino, Diany Rodriguez, Tyla Abercrumbie, Daniel Bellomy and Caleb Martin Foote.

If Longmire is in, I’m IN! lol thanks

I’m definitely going to watch it. But to be honest I really appreciate all the world building they do away from Gibbs. I thought it was going to be an origins story for NCIS as an agency and the nerd in me was digging that concept. Similar to the season in Criminal Minds where they went back and showed how the unit began.

This will be good - NCIS can do no wrong! ( I include spin-offsa that never made it to air)

A couple of episodes, Richard Kowalski (played by Michael Harney) left NCIS. So, it appears he has been written out and he is in the new series The Better Sister. Just wonder how much screen time he’ll have in this new series. We didn’t see him that often in NCIS: Origins.

More info on NCIS: Origins….NCIS: Origins must be many things for many people, both encouraging newcomers and welcoming long-time fans with a balancing act that will surely be hard to muster. Narratively, the show is said to take place in the NIS Camp Pendleton office, where Gibbs, who is new to his role, finds his place within an unlikely team led by the NCIS legend Mike Franks. It’s a premise with a lot of room to grow, and fans will see how the show finds its feet in the early episodes, which may become something more. So, in the NCIS timeline, NCIS: Origins will be the very first port of call for audiences and thus encourages fans to watch through the entire run in chronological order. Despite the fact that NCIS aired in 2003 initially, NCIS: Origins will actually take place sometime before, in 1991. This also gives the showrunners plenty of room to dive into further seasons if the series proves itself to be a hit. They have cleverly not backed themselves into a corner, leaving enough room until the familiar NCIS then comes into the picture. Mark Harmon, who portrayed Gibbs in that first run, will be returning as an older version of the character. In a break from convention, Harmon will be providing the narration for the show, allowing fans to keep track of what’s happening and giving them a view into Gibbs’ mind. With Harmon playing the retired operative, there’s also a chance to gain more of an insight into what happened next in the story.

One day I will find the love for this show

I never really got into NCIS, just the spinoffs. Never have liked Mark Harmon. He acts like a robot to me. Anyway, this looks good. Put it on my watch list awhile ago, but wanted to see what you guys thought of it first. This will be my weekend binge show now, because nothing else I like is on on weekends.
