Homicide detective Tess Avery is forced to quit the job she loves after nearly killing her partner and being diagnosed as clinically blind. Reluctant to accept help, Tess uses an assistance app and connects with Sunny Patel, a professional seeing-eye guide and agoraphobe living 3,000 miles away. Haunted by the unsolved cases she left behind, Tess uses a hidden camera and earpiece, while Sunny remotely steers Tess through life's obstacles -- and crimes -- as the two challenge preconceptions about ability, trust and where to draw the line. |

From the description seems like an oringal concept I’ll give the first episode a try.
Show Unshowed
Smell Unsmelled
Touch Untouched
Watch Unwatched
Watched the first episode. Was hard to finish. the entire cast were OK the problem was the main character not sure if she is related to someone important on the show or what but she is a terrible actress. Like distracting bad. The rest of the cast act perfectly fine which makes it even more awkward the main character is so bad.
Waiting impatiently for Season 2 to start.
It was different and reminded me of the tv series In the Dark. Murphy’s acting wasn’t all that good either and got better as the series went on. I stuck it out with this one and her acting got better and better and I actually am looking forward to season 2 which has been confirmed. It ended in a cliffhanger so I will be watching S2. I also thought Melissa Roxburgh’s acting stunk in Manifest, but I liked the concept of the show and she got better and better as the series continued. Oh, Tess was on leave from the police department so she would have gotten paid and hadn’t officially quit. Then she became a consultant they usually make more money than a detective.
The whole premise is strange. Any real cop would have told them about her blindness and gotten disability pay. She must be independently wealthy to be able to not work. How is she paying her bills? It’s just an unrealistic scenario. That being said, the first episode was sort of lame, but I’ll keep watching and see what happens.
Only watched the first episode so far. I couldn’t really get into it. While the acting was ok, the whole premise was a bit lame, to be honest. But that’s just me.
