Grace grabs her hairnet and heads out to a vast Greggs pizza centre. The minus 20-degree freezer renders her speechless but she's soon warms up in the cabin of a vast truck delivering pizzas to Greggs shops across the south of England. Grace also hears about a secret Greggs store that is even cheaper than a regular shop – it's a Greggs outlet and they sell anything left over from the main stores including delicious caramel ‘droppy down bits'.In a bit to understand a bit more about the phenomenon of Greggs, Grace goes back to Gosforth on the outskirts of Newcastle, where the story began, tracking down the location of the first-ever shop which has since become a travel agent.Distracted by booking a holiday to Mauritius she soon gets back on the Greggs trail and discovers that the company's CEO and Finance Director know everything there is to know about this ground-breaking bakery brand. In a final bid to uncover the reasons for Greggs success she takes Greggs virgin, Francis Rossi, to discover the baked classics for himself.
