The trawler L'Immortelle, which disappeared nine years ago with five fishermen on board, has finally been found. But among the bones brought to the surface there is also a fresh corpse, that of Vincent Barsano, the captain of L'Immortelle whom everyone believed to be dead since the sinking. Marianne seeks help from Aurore, Vincent's daughter, to unravel this mysterious cold case and infiltrate the world of fishermen, because Aurore took over the management of the industrial tribunal following the death of her father, and knows everyone on the Haven. Two suspects are quickly identified. Castenet, who took care of Aurore and her mother Louise when Vincent died. He has always loved Louise. And the return of the "late husband" was not part of her plans. And there is the enigmatic Bilade, Aurore's "godfather", who beneath an apparent and joyful good nature, turns out to be a dangerous and influential trafficker. |
