Godfrey tries to manipulate Bill out of the Roystron trial - without success. Amy goes out with a young philanderer, Alan Manning, and discovers that Tommy is drinking heavily. The Royston trial begins and Arthur finds a witness in Ballarat who can supply an alibi for Royston. Bill flies to Ballarat to bring the witness back to Melbourne. On the way home the aeroplane crashes and the witness and Bill are killed. |
