A bit too heavy-handed to really enjoy … You almost expect characters to look to the camera while delivering dramatic, improbably patriotic, kudos to the British government and police service. Despite the star cast, IMO this had the feel of a box-office flop that’s ended up on TV.
I much preferred The Salisbury Poisonings, produced by BBC One, about the 2018 poisoning of former Russian double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia, in Salisbury, England.
