Halvar from Flake and Baltac from Schlack have a violent quarrel as to who will be chosen as the chieftain of all chieftains. In the end they declare war on each other. With great haste both villages prepare for war. Baltac has much to defend since he has borne the title for 20 years. But Halvar, too, moves heaven and earth so that he at last can become chieftain of all. |
