Max McLaughlin is an American cop who arrives in Berlin in the summer of 1946 to help create a police force in the chaotic aftermath of the war. Max's goal is to take down "Engelmacher" Gladow, the Capone of post-war Berlin. At the same time, Max undertakes a secret crusade to find his missing brother, who is killing ex-Nazis in hiding. Unbeknownst to Max, he is being used as a pawn in what is the actual beginning of the Cold War. |

Good show! Post WWII cop drama-mystery, an American cop dealing with the culture shock and the anarchy of a Berlin trying to survive just after the war. Well made, good writing, about 1/2 English, 1/2 in German, with Eng subs for both. 7.5/10

It was a good show I had to watch through ‘other means’.
Sigh…Another poorly written post WW2 Historical drama series.
Generic, unimaginative, unrealistic writing with multiple sub-plots that only muddy the overall storyline and drag it out needlessly.
On a positive note the German actress Nina Hoss was excellent.
