This underused room is a catch-all for toddler toys and hand-me-down furniture, but homeowners Katie and Matt Chisholm love to entertain and need an adult area for when friends stop by. Licensed contractor Josh Temple updates a wood-paneled wall and a brick fireplace with glass tile and an attached custom shelving unit. An entryway gains an "eyebrow" arch and more interest, and a plain wall is transformed with inset niches for wine bottle storage. Finally, a tasteful bar is built with remnant stone and reclaimed wood. |
