1980's Academy Award 'Best Picture' Winners
Description:

Listed in ascending order, beginning with 1980.

Each of the film’s Producers took home the coveted ‘Oscar’. Credit for coining the term ‘Oscar’ is given to Margaret Herrick, the Academy executive secretary. When she first saw the award in 1931, she said the statuette reminded her of “Uncle Oscar”, a nickname for her cousin Oscar Pierce.
